Work We’ve Completed
Over the last 17 days, we have:
- Completed 90% of the planned track replacement along Huntington Ave
- Improved five pedestrian crossings
- Started work on the Tremont Street/Francis Street intersection
Overall, crews have now completed 64% of the track and intersection upgrades on the E Branch.
Upcoming Work
Accelerated work on the E Branch will continue through August 29. In addition to the project’s planned improvements, crews will use this period of full access to upgrade five more pedestrian crossings and renew 600 additional feet of track.
During this work, the 39 bus will not collect fare from riders boarding between Heath Street and Brigham Circle (August 2 – 29) and between Heath Street and Northeastern University (August 24 – 26).
