Crews accomplished this critical work due to unencumbered access to track areas while Red Line service was suspended between Alewife and Harvard stations for 10 days from February 5-14.

REMINDER: Shuttle Buses Replace Red Line from Alewife to Harvard on February 5-14 for Critical Track Work

Shuttle buses are also extended to Park Street during the evenings beginning at approximately 8:45 PM during the same time period. This service change is in place while crews perform work as part of the Track Improvement Program, which will alleviate speed restrictions along the line.

MBTA Successfully Completes Expedited Critical Track Work on Green Line, Removes 16 Speed Restrictions

Crews accomplished this critical work during shutdowns on the B branch from Babcock Street to Kenmore, on the E branch between Heath Street and Copley, and in the downtown area between Kenmore and North Station for 10 days from January 3-12 and for 13 days from January 16-28.
